Golden Triangle 2017

May 19 @ 08:00 - May 22 @ 17:00

It’s back! EBTC’s signature trip through the Rocky Mountains of Alberta and British Columbia is back on the agenda for 2017. This is the trip that was one of the first club organized adventures back in the 1980’s, and it has been a popular trip for both our club and for the Elbow Valley Club out of Calgary ever since.

Starting in Castle Mountain Junction (between Banff and Lake Louise), the ride will follow the traditional route to Radium, on to Golden, BC, and back to Castle Mountain over the 3 days of the May long weekend. Accommodations will be at Castle Mountain Junction for Friday night, and motels for the rest of the trip. Participants will need to make their way to Castle Mountain Junction, but there will be van-support for a maximum of 14 people (including the driver and organizer) during the trip. Cost is $350/person (Cdn), and payment can be made by cheque (payable to EBTC), cash, or interact transfer forwarded to the organizer. Trip fee covers van support during the ride, all accommodation, all breakfast, lunch and snacks, as well as group-prepared dinners. Participants will share planning, cooking and clean-up for meals. Registration opens February 1, 2017. A deposit of $175.00 is payable by the trip application deadline of Friday, April 14th. Balance due at the trip-planning meeting. Average distance will be about 100 km/day.

Join us to experience the clear rushing streams, the towering mountains and the deep, deep valleys; Join us to shake out those winter blahs and experience the joy of the open road with other cycling enthusiasts. Join us for the fun and companionship of one of our favourite rides. Join us!
