I know that bike-riding to work was not that popular in the days when I started cycling. It must be almost 30 years ago now! I worked in Government Centre and the ride from my house in the north part of the city to the bank was about a 7 KM bike-ride. I cannot remember if I started riding to save bus fare money or to keep in shape. There just were not very many cyclists on the road going to and from work!
